Opt for professional finishing of your artwork with two coats of high gloss or matt varnish, applied with care by me personally. Varnishing costs R250 per canvas, and R150 per coaster set.
TECHNIQUES
Choose a more advanced technique such as the Bloom Pour (Sheleeart style), Pearl Pour, Cloud Pour, Dutch Pour (hairdryer), Swipe (palette knife) or Chain Pull. If you're unsure, I'll show you some sample paintings to help you decide.
HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION
One-on-one guidance and in-depth demonstrations of advanced pouring and layering techniques. Watch, learn, and then try your hand at a practice pour, receiving personal guidance along the way.
ART MATERIALS
3mm MDF board (30cm) for practice ~ this allows you to test your colour choices and get a feel for the technique. Your main masterpiece deserves a stretch canvas (50x40cm or similar size). Disposable gloves provided.
PREMIUM PAINTS & MEDIUMS
Over and above the lightfast acrylic paints (low VOC) used in the Beginner class, you'll enjoy a variety of high quality metallic, interference and special fx paints (like glow-in-the-dark or neon uv) that allow for richer colour intensity and dynamic effects. Specialised pouring mediums will help you achieve the most incredible effects in your artwork—like pearls, cells and lacing—without oily additives.
class Environment
A minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 people per session ensures personalised attention and a friendly, communal vibe. Light refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
DURATION
Sessions usually take 3—4 hours, depending on the number of participants and artworks created.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your own apron or be sure to wear old clothes in case you get paint on yourself.
CAN I TAKE MY ARTWORK HOME?
No, remember this is very fluid paint! Your artwork will be placed upon a level drying surface and covered with a plastic tent to ensure that it dries slowly ~ this minimises the possibility of cracking. You can collect your paintings once dry, usually a few days to a week or two if you have requested varnishing.
YOU & YOUR ARTWORK FEATURED
Photos will be captured during the session to showcase you and your beautiful artwork on my social media platforms ~ with your permission of course.
