TECHNIQUE
Choose a basic technique such as the Straight Pour, Puddle Pour, Dirty Pour, Flip Cup, Split Cup, Open Cup or Tree Ring Pour. If you're unsure, I'll show you some sample paintings to help you decide.
HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION
Enjoy a hands-on demonstration as I break down the basics of paint consistency and technique. Watch, learn, and then try your hand at a practice pour, receiving personal guidance along the way.
ART MATERIALS
3mm MDF board (20cm) for practice ~ this allows you to test your colour choices and get a feel for the technique. Your main masterpiece deserves a stretch canvas (40x30cm or similar). Disposable gloves provided.
PAINTS & POURING MEDIUMS
High quality, lightfast acrylic paints (low VOC) in a range of vibrant colours and hues. Entry-level pouring mediums and additives (like silicone oil) suitable for basic techniques.
class Environment
A minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 people per session ensures personalised attention and a friendly, communal vibe. We'll pour paint and toast to creativity, connection and vibrant expression. Complementary sparkling wine and light nibbles provided for your enjoyment.
DURATION
Sessions usually take 3—4 hours, depending on the number of participants and artworks created.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your own apron or be sure to wear old clothes in case you get paint on yourself.
CAN I TAKE MY ARTWORK HOME?
No, remember this is very fluid paint! Your artwork will be placed upon a level drying surface and covered with a plastic tent to ensure that it dries slowly ~ this minimises the possibility of cracking. You can collect your paintings once dry, usually a few days to a week.
YOU & YOUR ARTWORK FEATURED
Photos will be captured during the session to showcase you and your beautiful artwork on my social media platforms ~ with your permission of course.
